Adrienne and Donna Pocock Memorial Award, Canada

The Adrienne and Donna Pocock Memorial Award was established in honour of the late Adrienne Pocock, a conscientious environmentalist devoted to grassroots care and concern for her world. The award will be given annually to graduate students in the Faculty of Environmental and Urban Change to support resources and/or travel related to their fieldwork. The initial award in the winter of 2006 will be granted to a student whose area of focus encompasses the Canadian environment. Subsequently, preference will be given to students whose work incorporates consideration of Canada, children, animals or Aboriginal issues in relationship to the environment. Recipients must be Canadian citizens/permanent residents or protected persons, residents of Ontario and demonstrate financial need.
