Jane Wight T&T Scholarship, Canada

Jane Wight graduated from the University of Guelph with a B.Comm. in Human Resources Management in 2005. Jane came to the University of Guelph from Trinidad and Tobago to pursue her academic goals. Jane created this scholarship to help future Trinbagonian students to pursue their post-secondary goals and explore life outside their country with the hopes that they would return home and use their knowledge to elevate Trinidad and Tobago. Jane aspires to be a memorable female CEO within the Caribbean region that inspires others to chase their dreams. She hopes that this scholarship can do just that. Apply by April 15 to Student Financial Services at awards@uoguelph.ca with a 250-word statement of interest that describes why the program you are entering is the right fit for your academic goals or a letter of recommendation from your high school. Selection will be based on academic performance through an assessment of the admission application package, and a review of the statement of interest from the student or letter of recommendation from the high school.

Students paying the International student tuition and fee rates who are entering any program from Trinidad and Tobago. Preference will be given to students entering a B.Comm. program offered by the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics.
