The purpose of this scholarship is to support students for study towards a PhD in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Canterbury.
Value/Benefits: Financial assistance with the costs associated with university study, at a value of $5,000 per 120 points of thesis enrolment
Level of Study: Doctoral
Closing Date: 11:59 pm (NZT) 15 May in years that the scholarships is available
Tenure: Up to 360 points of enrolment
Number Available Annually: There may be only one holder of the scholarship at a time
Applicable Enrolment During Tenure: Full-time or part-time enrolment in a programme for a PhD degree in Chemistry at the University of Canterbury
Citizenship/Residency Requirements: Not applicable

Special Eligibility Requirements:
Selection will be based on:
- academic achievement;
- ability and willingness to contribute positively to science-based activities in the community and/or student experiences in Chemistry within the School of Physical and Chemical Sciences; and
- financial need.
